time for a little sepia tone

I’ve had a busy day in our photography studio in Seattle creating a number of albums for our clients which has been lots of fun. All of our photographs that leave the studio get edited to make sure your photographs look just perfect and its exciting to see these albums come together. I was playing around with a photograph from one of the albums, experimenting with different colors and effects and determined that I quite like this sepia tone that enhances the brick wall and the beautiful wrap and hair.
I thought I would post this quickly before signing out, now its time for a glass of wine!
Some additional boudoir photography previews for Ms P and SGT B

During our special May Boudoir Photography weekend we got to meet the amazing Ms P. She was looking for a really special gift for her boyfriend who is so far away right now serving in Iraq, and wanted to find something for Armed Forces Day and decided to come into our photography studio in Seattle for some intimate photo’s. Although she was a little nervous at first she soon relaxed and Ms P was a complete dream to work with and we had so much fun calibrating with her to create something pretty special. She brought a number of prop’s that had special meaning to them, the bottle of wine above is one that is being saved for the day that SGT B returns.
We just received an email from Ms P to say thanks and letting us know the reaction of SGT B, its so special that we asked if she would be willing to let us share the details on our blog. It feels so good to know that our work is bringing loving couples closer and its why this is so rewarding for all of us. We super excited to get to meet him when he comes home and can’t wait to have them both back into the studio. Her note is below, then I posted a few more previews for them both.

I wanted to let you know that the mail service did their job. I expected the photos to arrive in Iraq on Thursday, but low and behold they arrived today, on Armed Forces Day. If I had attempted to to make that part happened, it never would have.
I asked SGT B to wait and open the box after he was on Skype with the webcam tonight. The first photo he opened was the corset and wine bottle. He thoroughly enjoyed that and decided he was taking that one to his office for his desk. I had included a silver shadowbox frame for him to use. When he opened the two-fold leg shots, he was speechless. Seriously speechless, and very emotional. Soldiers don’t cry, but he was teary-eyed. By the end of our conversation he was taking the two-fold to work so that he had something to look forward to everyday when going to the office.
I replayed as much of the ’shoot’ day for him as I could remember, from what I had written as a reminder. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a blurr. It sounds like I will be back for another shoot, with SGT B in tow this time. He was enthralled with the whole process and then had to look at your website. I don’t know if you have a link or can show him some of my other photos, but he would like to see some if you can, and may be emailing you with that request.
Phil, you did an incredible job capturing “me” for him. Jen, you made me beautiful beyond belief, and Nicole…… thank you for helping me choose the best of the best for him – and putting my wardrobe together
Thank you for the encouragement all of you gave me to make this such a successful opportunity to do something special for SGT B.
Armed Forces Day was a success with your help!
Thank you so much!
Ms P

Ladies, this is the perfect ego boost

Generally being one of the first points of contact for our clients, I field a lot of questions about our boudoir shoots in Seattle. “How long does it take?” “How many outfits should I bring?” “How many photos will I get to choose from after I’m done?” Strangely though, I find the most common question I get is this one - ”Can I book for a few months from now so I have time to lose ten pounds?” Myself being, let’s say, not a size 0, nor any longer in 19-year-old skin, I can understand the first inclination to ask about this, and maybe even think to myself, “If only I were a little thinner, or could get rid of a little cellulite, or have perkier breasts, or fewer wrinkles, then I would feel better in front of the camera.” Then, confident, empowered Jen steps in and says to insecure, society-pressured Jen, “Shut up gurrrl! You know you hot just as you is! Damn! I’m warm just standing next to you!”
This is what our boudoir photography experience is about. It’s about us, the Seattle Boudoir Photography team, helping you to find your confident, empowered voice – the one that really does know how amazingly beautiful you are, both inside and out. Being photogenic has so little to do with how you physically appear, your age, your shape, or your endowments, and so much more to do with the energy you exude. If you believe you are beautiful (which is easy, because you are!), you will be beautiful through the lens of the camera and in the eyes of everyone around you. Confidence is the single most attractive accessory you can own and we will work with you to bring that out in your photo session! So this season, Prada is out! Self-esteem and swagger are in!
So, if you’re visiting this site with the thought of trying out our boudoir experience, I want you to first step away from the Thighmaster, the Jane Fonda tapes and your anti-wrinkle cream, then pick up the phone and prepare for the most fun ego-boosting experience of your life. You will be so glad you did, because you’ll finally see what all the world already knows. You are simply gorgeous, just as you are.
Love yourself and she will love you back!
