Our July boudoir weekend now fully booked, added a new date for August 9th

Over the last few days we have had lots of inquires from potential clients and I’m happy to say that we are now completely booked out for our July 25/26 dates.  We are so excited to get to work with some many ladies that weekend and just can’t wait!   Because the wedding season is getting into full swing and we have a number of ladies looking for some exciting and meaningful gifts for their feature husband we have added a new date of August 9th.  We already have a first booking for that weekend and looking to fill out the rest.  So girls, if you have been thinking about this for a while now, don’t wait – call me now and lets get you booked in – (206) 250 6903 !

We have already started to book up a number of boudoir photography sessions for later in the year which is super exciting.  Knowing that some of our clients like to plan we just sat down and mapped out the first round of dates for our promotion weekends for the coming months.   So Seattle ladies, if you looking for the perfect ego boast and want to have a whole lot of fun creating some beautiful, sexy photographs of yourself give us a call or contact us.  Full details of the dates can be found here.  

Seattle Boudoir Photography announces support for Ladyfest Tacoma

Seattle Boudoir Photography is pleased to be one of the donating sponsors for Ladyfest Tacoma this year, an event celebrating, encouraging and showcasing the talents of female artists and performers. All proceeds from this even will be donated to Domestic Abuse Women’s Network (DAWN), a non-profit whose mission is to end domestic violence by fostering community support for abuse survivors. The event will be held at Sanford & Son Antique and Auction House, located at 743 Broadway, Tacoma, WA 98402.

Ladyfest events are held around the world, and are festivals designed to showcase local art and music. The lineup for Ladyfest Tacoma starts at 1pm with an open art display and then musical acts begin at 3:30pm. Our silent auction donation for this event is a free Boudoir Studio Sesson, valued at $395, so it’s a great opportunity to support a worthwhile cause and get an amazing boudoir experience. HERstory

Ladyfest is a community based, not-for-profit, festival established to highlight female artists, performers, bands and musical groups.

This festival came about as a result of the DIY ethic and “Riot Grrrl” movement in Olympia, Washington as well as the many contributions by authors on inclusive feminist philosophy. The first LadyFest was held in Olympia, Washington in August 2000 with over 2000 people attending. Prime motivators in the event were Sleater-Kinney, Cat Power, and Neko Case. The primary organizers of LadyFest are women, but everyone is encouraged to attend and participate in the festival.

Since the first Ladyfest, events like it have been held around the world in locations such as Amerstdam, Atlanta, Belgium, Berlin, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Brooklyn, Dublin, Lansing, London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Orlando, Ottawa, Philadelphia, San Fransisco, San Diego, Seattle, Toronto, Washington DC, and more. Primarily organized by local volunteers, each festival is held independently of other Ladyfest events. Proceeds from Ladyfest are donated to non-profit organizations dedicated to eliminating the sexist oppression of women.

Proceeds from Ladyfest Tacoma benefit Domestic Abuse Women’s Network (DAWN). A silent auction will also be held at the event to raise funds for this worthy cause.

Ladies, this is the perfect ego boost

Generally being one of the first points of contact for our clients, I field a lot of questions about our boudoir shoots in Seattle. “How long does it take?” “How many outfits should I bring?” “How many photos will I get to choose from after I’m done?”  Strangely though, I find the most common question I get is this one -  ”Can I book for a few months from now so I have time to lose ten pounds?”   Myself being, let’s say, not a size 0, nor any longer in 19-year-old skin, I can understand the first inclination to ask about this, and maybe even think to myself, “If only I were a little thinner, or could get rid of a little cellulite, or have perkier breasts, or fewer wrinkles, then I would feel better in front of the camera.”  Then, confident, empowered Jen steps in and says to insecure, society-pressured Jen, “Shut up gurrrl!  You know you hot just as you is!  Damn! I’m warm just standing next to you!”

This is what our boudoir photography experience is about. It’s about us, the Seattle Boudoir Photography team, helping you to find your confident, empowered voice – the one that really does know how amazingly beautiful you are, both inside and out. Being photogenic has so little to do with how you physically appear, your age, your shape, or your endowments, and so much more to do with the energy you exude. If you believe you are beautiful (which is easy, because you are!), you will be beautiful through the lens of the camera and in the eyes of everyone around you. Confidence is the single most attractive accessory you can own and we will work with you to bring that out in your photo session!  So this season, Prada is out! Self-esteem and swagger are in!

So, if you’re visiting this site with the thought of trying out our boudoir experience, I want you to first step away from the Thighmaster, the Jane Fonda tapes and your anti-wrinkle cream, then pick up the phone and prepare for the most fun ego-boosting experience of your life. You will be so glad you did, because you’ll finally see what all the world already knows. You are simply gorgeous, just as you are.
