A Boudoir photo scavenger hunt!

Good Monday to you all, this is Amy.

One of our favorite things about working at Seattle Boudoir is hearing stories about how a partner has reacted when viewing a client’s boudoir photos. This story is up there for the best response ever!

As a bit of a back story; Mr. L attended Ms. L’s session and preview meeting and was a part of choosing their favorite photos, therefore, he knew exactly which photos were ordered. Once Ms. L’s photos were completed, we reached out to her to schedule a time when they could both come by the studio to pick up her amazing photos. The twist… Mr. L was out of town and had to wait to see Ms. L’s photos! Ms. L decided to have some fun and created the best surprise ever…

A Boudoir photo scavenger hunt!

That’s right! How awesome of an idea is that? Don’t take my words for it. This is what Mr. L had to say about the experience:

“Amy,

Not sure if Ms. L told you the whole story but I was in Vegas for work when she picked the photos up.  The suspense was killing me and her phone photos weren’t helping at all!  Sunday I rode from San Francisco to Seattle on my motorcycle in the rain.  I got home at 9PM at night and was exhausted to say the least.  I went upstairs and found the first photo on my bed.  The next 30 to 45 minutes were spent looking through my room, the closet, bathroom cabinets and spare bedroom.  Each one I found made me grin like a kid on Christmas morning.  I found them all but one and was going crazy looking for it.  I checked the spare bedroom again and finally success!!  It was by far the best scavenger hunt in my life.  I love the photos and can’t say enough about the great experience we had.

Thanks again and I can’t wait for the next one!!!!”

Talk about an amazing surprise! I do believe Ms. L won the girlfriend of the year award! We just have to share some of her wonderful photos with the world to show what Mr. L was searching for around his home!

Thank you so much Mr. and Ms. L! It’s been a delight working with you both. We can’t wait to get you both back in the studio for the couples session you’ve been talking about!

Boudoir 2 Go installation instructions

Now that you have received an email with your Boudoir 2 Go application you might be wondering how to get it installed on your mobile device. The process is easy!

First, because the file size for your album is a bit large, we recommend doing the install over a Wi-Fi network.  You may also get a prompt that says “Increase Local Storage?” Be sure to tap “Increase” if you would like to be able to view your album when you’re offline.

 So, let’s get started:

1. Click on the link that we sent you.

2. You will be prompted for a password. Simply enter the password we emailed.

 photo3

3. Next it asks you to save the application on your phone. Tap ‘Add to Home Screen.’

 photophoto1

4. Now you can name your app! The default name is “boudoir’, but you can rename the app to whatever you choose.

photo2

Once you have unlocked your album with your password and have viewed your photos, be sure to lock your app (found at the bottom of the screen) if you want to keep your photos secure.

After you’ve downloaded the app to your phone you can click ‘share’ and share your album with whomever you’d like!

The last thing to know about the app… it’s currently not playing very well with Internet Explorer. If you have a Windows phone you may need to download an additional browser (Safari, Opera, etc.) to be able to download the app. Other phone devices (IPhone, Android, etc.) should work just fine with the app right off the start as they do not have IE as their operating browser.

If you have any questions at all, just email us or call.

Enjoy your Boudoir to Go app!

Seattle Boudoir Photography - Cabi

As some of you guys and gals know at Seattle Boudoir Photography we aren’t ALWAYS about taking clothes off, sometimes we are about putting them on!

Last Thursday Amy and I hosted a CAbi party here at the studio. Kari was our lovely CAbi host and was super at her job! She helped every lady at the event be sure that clothing fit and looked fantastic on them.

Trying on all the latest Fall fashion was a ball! Leave it to us and our previous clients and their friends to just ignore the fact that there’s a dressing room. Yes, we were all just grabbing clothes trying them on and then passing them off to the next person all while in our underpants!

Amy and I are so excited to get our new clothes! Jeggings, sweaters, bustier, and faux leather arm warmers (CAbi calls the material fleather).  That’s what I got my little hands on. Amy got some amazing wrap tops that look fantastic on her.

If you’re interested in hosting your very own CAbi party, here is a link to their site – http://www.cabionline.com/ That said, here’s a sneak peek at the fun that was had during our event!

#8 – Be a model for a day!

Although most people couldn’t imagine doing this on a daily basis, let’s face it, who hasn’t wondered what it would be like to be a model, even if it’s just for one day?!  At least once in your life you deserve just as much pampering and attention that they get to experience.

Maybe the last few months have been tough going.  The kids have been driving you crazy, you have been working a bunch, and you’ve had no time for yourself.  Well, it’s time to put that aside and spend some time on yourself and give yourself the boost you need!

We box them up and send them off to the bra recyclers! http://www.brarecycling.com/

From there women all over the world that are in need of this key item of clothing can request though the website or shelter. We all know how naked we’d feel without our “over the shoulder boulder holder”, and this is our chance to help out. Not to mention how much fun it is to collect all of them from our AWESOME clients. This time around we collected more than we EVER had! That number is 55! That’s a lot of happy “ladies”.

Thanks again to our generous clients.

Boudoir Parties – a trend ?

August 26, 2013 by

I just got around to reading this New York Post article by Jane Ridley on the latest trend in girl power – group boudoir sessions.  You can read the whole article here.

While the NY Post might think of these as a trend, we have been doing parties, something that we call our Boudoir Soirees ever since we first started, five years ago.  These events are truly unforgettable, no matter if its bachelorette party, a birthday celebration, celebrating a new stage in your life or just a girls night out they are a whole lot of fun.  As we say, it might not be Vegas, but what happens here stays here!

The way these work, is much like our regular sessions, each guest gets their own professional makeup application & hairstyling along with wardrobe styling and on set direction.  We personalize each photography session so each guest has sets and outfits that are perfect for them. And at the end of the day we like to plan a group photograph to memorialize the day!

Babeland in store photo shoot

A few weeks ago we were invited to hang out at Babeland in Seattle! We hosted a test shoot in their store to give their clients an idea of what a photography session with our studio is like. We had our wonderful Salon provide professional makeup, Kim did onset styling, and of course, photography –all happening in Babeland!  We invited three of our former clients to be models for the evening, and they were an absolute blast to have with us! We even got to meet some new friends and photograph them too ;)

Here are a few of our favorite photos from our Babeland event for your viewing pleasure : )

Introducing Ms. G!

Ms. G scheduled her boudoir session for her lovely fiancé as an anniversary gift and as a groom’s gift all at the same time! It was a fabulous experience, a boost in confidence, and her wonderful fiancé received some beautiful imagery for their special day. Ms. G started her shoot with her man’s shirt on over a little black top, paired with some sassy black panties, a grader belt, some stockings, and cute shoes.

If you didn’t notice in the first set of photographs, her makeup artist styled her to have a bold eye liner, which make her eyes pop! And her hair! The waves look amazing on her. In Ms. G’s second outfit she opted for more of a girl next door look. She paired an adorable shirt which we knotted to show off more of her figure. Her shoes add an amazing pop of color to her photos!

The light is more dramatic to put the focus much more on Ms. G. for her last outfit. The red chair frames her perfectly as we are drawn to her beautiful eyes and then down to her sensual outfit. The bow on her top matches the bow on her panty perfectly!

Ms. G was able to take a mix of her photographs and create an amazing calendar to give to her man. We’re sure her gift was a great success!

The adorable Ms. W.

The sassy Ms. W. visited our Seattle studio to create a lovely anniversary gift for her husband, but was really excited to have the experience be all about her. Having never done a boudoir session before, Ms. W. came into our studio prior to her photography session to have a consultation. During her consultation Ms. W. got a chance to chat with her onset stylist, the wonderful Kim, and go over the different outfit, theme, and overall style of her session.

When Ms. W. came in for her photography session the wonderful team at Milagros SpaSalon styled her makeup and hair to perfection. Her eyes just popped and her hair looked fabulous in all of the different sets used during her session. Her black outfit paired with pair of stockings and garters looked amazing on her!

Ms. W’s final outfit was minimal but looked great on her body. Her nude panty paired with a fabulous pair of heels is all that was needed to flaunt her body. The pop of color from her heels added such a nice contrast from her barely visible panty.

Ms. W. absolutely enjoyed her time here with us at the studio. Needless to say, her husband definitely enjoyed his surprise anniversary gift!

Hey there everyone!  Kim here from Seattle Boudoir Photography!

I wanted to give you gals (and guys of course) a little look inside the photography studio on shoot days and see all of the fun and shenanigans that occurs. If you’ve never been in for a session and are worried about your nerves, I guarantee we will have you laughing in no time. You will be worry free within minutes of walking into the studio. That I promise!

With that said I thought I’d share some blooper images of our team from the studio. Some of these photos are from lighting testing that we’ve done, but most are things that happen on set during a shoot day. I hope you’re ready for a good giggle!
