Seattle Boudoir Previews – The Lovely Ms. H

Meet Ms. H! Ms. H came to our boudoir studio originally to create a lovely gift for her husband for Valentine’s Day, but quickly realized that the experience was for her just as much as him. She looked fantastic in all of her outfits. Her beautiful teddy showed her sweet side, the black outfit and beautiful pink panties showed off a bit of her naughty side, and Ms. H wrapped in only a white sheet is just stunning. . In the end she said that all of the pampering and attention she received during her photography session made her feel amazing!

One of the best parts… a friend of hers did a session a few days later, and they decided to do their preview meetings together! The preview meeting is the time after a client’s session where they come back into our Seattle studio to view all of their lovely photographs. We love it when our ladies bring in their friends or significant others to view their photographs! Needless to say, Ms. H and her friend had a blast viewing each other’s pictures!

A few short weeks after designing her album for her lucky husband Ms. H dropped by the studio to pick up her amazing work of art. She instantly fell in love with her album! She even said she may not give it to her husband as she wanted to keep it for herself! We can’t wait to see her again – until then, here’s a few shots of the lovely Ms. H!

Introducing Paintings – another lovely way to display your photographs

This is the second announcement of an exciting new product offered to our studio by a fabulous Seattle artist. This time we’re introducing you to handmade paintings! We are very happy to offer this enhancement to your photographs by local artist, Amy! As a past client, Amy had used one of her own paintings as a prop during her session. We fell in love with the work that she did that we asked her to provide paintings as an option for our amazing clients and she was very excited to do so! She loves using her talent and keen eye to show women how beautiful they really are, which fits perfectly with what we do here in our studio!

You can have your favorite image turned into an amazing painting in several different styles. Using acrylics, Amy can create an impressionistic style for you which will emphasize the luminous colors from the photograph while highlighting the contours of your body. Looking for something a bit more straightforward? Water coloring is an option that will give a whimsical look to your image. If you’d love to have an eclectic look that allows you to hang your painting anywhere in your home, you can opt for the mixed medium option! Amy can paint your image to make it abstract while combining other materials; ribbons, artisan paper, buttons… the options for mixed medium are near endless.

Whether you’re a new client who’s eagerly waiting to view your photographs from your session or you’re a past client who loves the idea of transforming your photograph into a painting, we can’t wait to have you into our studio to show you the different options and techniques available to create a one of a kind painting for you!

Mister C’s Dude-oir session

Yes, I did just say Mister and Dude-oir !  What can we say?  Our sessions are not just for the ladies!!

Mister C’s photo shoot was simple and very “GQ” if you will.  His no-fuss wardrobe consisted of jeans, button down shirt, suspenders, and boots!   What more does a guy need?   Immediately feeling at ease in the studio, Mister C kicked back with a can of PBR in hand – the perfect prop for him!  We captured his chill suave sense of style with a hint of humor.   Proving to be a good sport he entertained us by posing with a schnazzy top hat complete with a faux-stache.  No big deal!  After we had had our fun with him inside the studio we took it out to the streets and allies of Belltown.   Graffiti, bikes, and beer… how very Seattle of him.  Needless to say we had a ton of fun and Mister C now has pictures to prove it!

When Mister C came back in to view his amazing photographs he couldn’t believe his eyes!   He LOVED them!  And just like the ladies that come in to Seattle Boudoir he was stunned by the fact that he was viewing completely unedited and untouched images of himself!  That’s right, ladies – even guys can be self critical about themselves.  The thing is we do plenty of work before and during your session to make sure that lighting, sets, and photographic angles are all working hand in hand to best complement you.  It’s our job and we LOVE making you look and feel amazing!

We are happy to share in our excitement over Mister C’s photo session.  Here is a little sneak peek at his photos and what our dude-ior sessions look like.  Keep us in mind for any fabulous men in your life that may be in need of an image/ego boost.  Ladies shouldn’t be the only ones to get pampered, feel fabulous, and look amazing in photos!!

Introducing Encaustics – A wonderful way to display your photos!

This is the first of two announcements new exciting product offerings by two fabulous Seattle artists.  First up, we are proud to offer to all of our clients a new photography product to the Seattle Boudoir Photography studio… Encaustics! What is an encaustic you may ask? The word “encaustic” is derived from an ancient Greek term that means “to burn into”. It was a painting medium used thousands of years ago by melting beeswax and adding various colored pigments to create paints that would be applied to a number of things. Encaustic portraits from the ancient Egyptians are vivid and crisp in color to this very day! With Now with the creation of photography, we can apply this ancient medium to a modern art form, creating pieces that are painterly, artistic, and totally unique to each client!  We are proud to offer images that are artistically enhanced by a local encaustic artist, Angela! Check out her website here http://www.shutterwaxencaustics.com/

What makes an encaustic different from a print? Well, once you have picked out the photograph you’d love to have turned into an encaustic during your preview meeting our encaustic artist will mount your image to a wooden base and enhance the image with waxes and resins. The wax is applied to your image in a manner that gives the image a glow or painterly feel. The final product will be archival and a unique piece of art that will last a lifetime with proper care.

All encaustic pieces are painted with the highest quality encaustic mediums and oil paints by our encaustic artist, Angela. Each piece comes with a certificate of authenticity showing the date of completion and signature of the artist. Your first 3 weeks of ownership will be covered with a free encaustic repair if it shows minor scratches or damage within that time. If there is any damage after the first 3 weeks, Angela, our local encaustic artist, can still fix your lovely piece at an hourly charge.

We can’t wait to show you the different encaustic styles and options available to you at our studio!

Seattle Boudoir got the pleasure of shooting Hoot N Howl.  These seriously awesome ladies have been tearing up Seattle for a little over a year now. Specializing in all things 90’s and who doesn’t love the 90’s? We set up the shoot on Madrona Beach on a day that really wasn’t beach weather. Let me just say these girls are pros. O.k. The photos are for promoting their Soul Repair 90’s Party that is a fund raising event for the Puget Soundkeeper Alliance. This is happening on May 24th from 9pm till 11pm at Soul Repair. With your donation you’ll get your hair and make-up did 90’s style. That’s right. Hop in the photo booth and dance your booty off for the cause!

Anyway, lots more photo’s here.  Although we  do most of our sessions in the studio, we love going on location too, so if you have an idea for something outside, lets chat.

Seattle Boudoir Previews – Ms J

Ms. J…. what can’t we say about her! We love staying in contact with our clients after they’ve left the studio and as one of our biggest fans on Facebook and our blog, barely a week will go by where we won’t get the joy of talking with her! Ms. J originally scheduled her photography session with our studio so that she could give her loving husband an amazing anniversary present, but as many of our clients soon realize, the experience is more about  them than their husbands! After having her hair and makeup done she said she felt like an absolute supermodel! Although she was a bit nervous at first, as soon as she stepped on set our team made her feel at ease. Our onset stylist cracked a few jokes, ensuring Ms. J had a great time. Our stylist also used her keen eye to guarantee Ms. J was posed perfectly just before our amazing photographer took some great shots of her. Ms. J’s choice of outfits couldn’t have been better. The corset showed off her best assets and the color complimented her purple hair perfectly. Her jacket and bra combination showed off an edgier side of Ms. J, but let’s not forget the apron she brought to the studio! Simply gorgeous!

When Ms. J came back to our Seattle studio after her session to view all of her lovely photographs, she cried tears of joy! She said that for the first time she was able to see herself in the light that her husband does every day. Nothing could make us enjoy what we do here at Seattle Boudoir than helping our clients realize the beauties that they are.

Although we haven’t seen Ms. J in a while, we would love to get her back into the studio. Maybe even to do a stellar couples session with that lucky husband of hers! Ms. J, you’re welcome back anytime.

Another great event with Zovo Lingerie in the U-Village! We always have such an amazing time with the ladies over at Zovo and this night was no exception. Seattle Boudoir joined Zovo for their pre-Valentine’s Day “Sweetheart’s Night.” It was an evening filled with gorgeous lingerie, fun photos, delicious chocolates, and lingerie clad models. Yes, you read correctly – Chocolate!! Theo’s Chocolate to be exact. Yummy!! And yes, Zovo had some lovely ladies modeling some of their most beautiful pieces for shoppers to view first hand. The event drew in quite the crowd. It was a delight to see so many women, men, and couples shopping for their sweethearts for Valentine’s Day. With all of the love in the air we are certain we’ll be seeing many of those shoppers in the studio sometime soon : )

For some fun photos from the evening see the gallery here!  We hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine’s Day!

With our valentines rush now done, we are back to blogging and with that the lovely Ms. B, is back!

The styling during her session led to so many different photographs that we decided to show her off twice!  This set of photographs shows an edgier side of Ms. B.  Although she loves camo colors, Ms. B. is sure to wear her pink hand wraps and her New Kids On The Block shorts during her sport fighting!

Her husband may be a body builder, but Ms. B. has an inner strength that can’t be beat.

Celebrating your love for another is a great reason to come to our Boudoir studio for a session! That’s exactly what Ms. B did. She was getting ready to celebrate her 5 year anniversary with her amazing husband. Not only were they getting ready to rejoice about their marriage, they recently had a baby and Ms. B. was ready to show off what she calls her “Mom Body”, which we must say is rocking!

Ms. B. brought several different outfits and accessories, which were all amazing. From her Black Swan inspired tutu, WSU shirt, boxing glove, and her most notable little tank top profoundly stating “I Love My Hubby!” Ms. B. had a great range of photographs to choose from! With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, why not do what Ms. B. did last year and come in for a session so that you can give the person you love some amazing photographs of yourself as a Valentine’s Day gift?

Seattle Boudoir previews – Ms Snow Angel

Meet the lovely Snow Angel

Normally we don’t post the full names of our clients, but Snow Angel said that the world most know who she truly is. She decided to stop by our studio today during the midst of the great Seattle Snowstorm of 2012. We usually reserve shoots on our lovely rooftop deck to the summertime, but Snow Angel was very insistent upon doing a shoot outside and we were more than willing to accommodate her wishes.

We were all big fans of her eclectic style. She decided to wear all of her clothing choices at once! From her lovely red teddy, black garter belt,  animal printed hat, pearl necklace, sunglasses (you have to be careful of the sun in the winter as well she pointed out), and her amazing shoes… we couldn’t imagine seeing her any other way. The most striking aspect of Snow Angel was her fantastic bright pink lips!

We’re glad she decided to stop by our boudoir studio today. She said she’d try to stick around for a few days. I can tell you that when she finally decides to depart we’ll miss her just as much as we miss all of our other clients.

Seattle Boudoir previews – the lovely Ms V

With an arsenal of clothing options and a positive self-image, Ms. V made her time with us in the studio memorable. We first met Ms. V at an event at Zovo, the amazing lingerie store in University Village.  Ms. V. even helped Kimi pick out some new duds while they were at the event at Zovo.

Ms. V then came into our studio in Seattle a few days before her photography session to check us out for a studio tour… something we encourage our clients to do! After spending an hour with us we all fell in love with each other. She came back in later that same week with luggage cases full of clothing options!  From amazing corsets, cheeky thigh high boots, a sarong, even a plain white sheet, we were able to create some amazing photographs for Ms. V. By the time her session was over we didn’t want her to leave!

A few weeks later Mr. and Ms. V. came back into our Seattle studio to view the photographs, but we made Mr. V. believe it was Ms. V’s first time in the studio and she was only here for a studio tour! After showing him around the studio and telling them both about different sessions, he soon found out what was going on when he saw our “informational video”, which was actually Ms. V.’s photographs!

Needless to say, Mr. V. enjoyed his anniversary surprise! Here’s to Ms. V!

Enough of this, boss needs me back to work.  See you soon, Amy

Seattle Boudoir previews – the lovely Ms P

Ms. P came into our boudoir studio with her two of her best friends, Ms. L and her lovely pup “Woof”!

Ms. L tagged along to be Ms. P’s cheerleader but “Woof” had no problem strutting her puppy stuff for a few poses with mom! Although our staff was enthralled by “Woof” we were absolutely mesmerized by Ms. P! Her dramatic look combined with her corset and her man’s button up shirt lead for some stunning photographs! While you are checking out all the hotness that is Ms. P we’re sure you’ll notice her amazing eyes! It’s hard to stop staring into them once they’ve locked onto you.

We can’t wait to see Ms. P again in 2012!
